About the Founder

Mirjam Madhuri Paninski is a mystic, healer, researcher, and EFT Master Trainer. She is the founder and CEO of the Open Consciousness Institute (OCI), where trauma healing, clinical research, and deep spiritual practice meet to support true transformation.

A lifelong meditator raised in ashrams and contemplative communities around the world, Mirjam brings a unique blend of embodied spiritual wisdom, rigorous academic training, and clinical expertise to her work. She is a leading expert in Clinical EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and has trained and mentored hundreds of practitioners in trauma-informed, consciousness-based healing.

Her doctoral research at Brown University focuses on perinatal and generational trauma, with a particular emphasis on the narratives of BIWOC communities and the enduring impact of structural violence within the medical system. Her academic work is supported by the Mellon Foundation and reflects her commitment to both scholarly integrity and transformative justice.

Mirjam’s approach integrates the latest findings from neuroscience, epigenetics, and somatic psychology with ancient spiritual technologies. Through her programs, she helps individuals and groups identify and clear subconscious imprints—transforming inherited trauma, limiting patterns, and emotional wounds at the root level.

She is known for her rare capacity to bridge evidence-based methods with intuitive knowing, guiding people toward states of peace, coherence, and deep inner alignment. Whether in one-on-one sessions, retreats, or certification programs, Mirjam holds a powerful field for awakening, embodiment, and lasting change.

She has been faculty at various institutes, including the Omega Institute and CIIS, and multiple universities, including Brown University, Smith College, and the University of Vienna.
